FMP Series Flight Case Lid Mounted Monitoring System

GigaSat produces a range of ancillary products necessary for the successful implementation of any earth station, whether it is fixed, flyaway or driveaway.

FMP series monitoring panels are available in 19" rack mount format for use in vehicles and fixed earth stations or compact flyaway format where they mount in the lid of our carbon fibre flight cases.

The lid mounting solution is particularly elegant and brings with it the obvious advantage of reducing the overall number of flight cases necessary.

Standard FMP series configurations include dual video displays and dual active monitor speakers with PPM metering. Options include rasterized, video waveform overlay and spectrum monitor overlay for the video displays.

All GigaSat products include RS232/485 remote control interfaces and can optionally be specified with an SNMP interface for monitoring via a web browser.

Where required GigaSat offer the CAM series PC based M&C system,which can allow comprehensive remote control over any kind of telephone interface or of course over the satellite.

CAM is custom modified software, which can control not only GigaSat products but also any third party product equipped with an RS232/485 interface.

GigaSat is well known for using advanced composite technology in our antenna designs. The same ultra lightweight and very strong carbon fibre material is now offered in a range of flight cases designed for the safe transportation of any delicate 19" rack mount equipment. CFC series cases include separate shock mounted chassis, removable front and back covers, weatherproof gaskets, pressure relief valve for air transportation and soft pack bag for cosmetic protection. They are used as standard within GigaSat flyaway system designs but can be purchased separately.
